DESCRIPTION:If you can drive or afford a car\, you may not understand what it’s like to rely on walking\, rolling\, transit and asking for rides. But for nearly a third of people living in the United States – people with disabilities\, young people\, seniors and people who can’t afford cars or gas – this is our every day. \nWe created the Week Without Driving experience so that those who have the option to drive can learn firsthand about the barriers and challenges that nondrivers face and work with nondrivers to create more accessible communities for all. \n

SUMMARY:TCIL’s Emergency Plan Workshop - Humboldt County
DESCRIPTION:We are proud to announce that TRI-COUNTY INDEPENDENT LIVING will be offering an emergency plan workshop for all TCIL clients and interested community members that would like to learn how to create and implement an Emergency Plan for themselves and/or their families. You will also receive an Emergency Go Backpack at the end of the workshop to take home as a starting point for an emergency kit. This workshop will be held on the 3rd Friday of every other month. Light refreshments will be provided. \n
