On Tuesday, May 14th, we gathered to say farewell and to celebrate Andy Padilla for his year and a half as TCIL’s Youth Coordinator. Andy is moving on to continue to advance his career in creating parks for all peoples. During his time at TCIL, Andy worked with youth 1:1 on youth transition goals, assisted in large scale youth event planning, and helped empower youth with disabilities in engaging in community organizing activities. Through his role at TCIL, Andy also loaned his expertise in accessible outdoor recreation to local community organizations engaged in making parks more accessible for visitors with developmental disabilities. Andy also played a notable role in helping to build connections on a local, statewide, and national scale that have strengthened TCIL’s partnership with our communities.
