We wanted to share some exciting news regarding public transportation in Humboldt County. The Humboldt County Board of Supervisors recently voted unanimously to allocate 15% of Measure O revenue to transit, a decision that TCIL actively supported with a letter.
This allocation is significant, as the Humboldt Transit Agency is expected to receive close to $4 million annually for the next five years. This dedicated funding will be instrumental in enhancing public transportation options for our disability and aging communities, promoting greater independence and accessibility.
We also want to express our sincere appreciation to the Coalition for Responsible Transportation Priorities (CRTP) for their work in bringing together various community partners to make this important initiative a reality.
