My name is Denise Leininger. I am passionate about providing quality assistance and care to special populations to help combat barriers of illness, injuries, or disabilities, focusing on enabling and empowering individuals to face their challenges confidently. I am originally from Sacramento but moved to Humboldt County in 2016 to complete my undergraduate program at Humboldt State University. I have my Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology: Exercise Science and Health Promotions with a minor in psychology. Recently, in December of 2023, I graduated with my Master of Science in Kinesiology with an elected emphasis on Health Education and Nutrition.
My culminating experiences in my undergraduate and graduate degree programs have provided me with extensive knowledge in the practical application and promotion of health educational programs and psychological practices relating to human development and behavioral health interventions promoting social services to provide physical and mental health support.
If I am not at work, I like to spend my time hiking, reading, baking/cooking, socializing with friends, playing board games, and completing puzzles.
