TCIL was established in 1978 under the name of Humboldt Access Project as a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization and has had a long history of working to support people with disabilities in our community. Over the past 30-plus years, TCIL has operated within Humboldt, Del Norte, and Trinity Counties for people with disabilities.
TCIL, with a cadre of dedicated staff members, has demonstrated an ability to assume a leadership role in advocating for disability-related issues.
TCIL works to ensure that persons with disability have the right to control and make decisions about their own lives and, with dignity and with appropriate support, live in their own homes and fully participate in their communities.
