Liz joined the TCIL team in September 2024. She is originally from San Francisco and has lived in Humboldt County since 2003. Her extensive background in early childhood education as an infant/toddler teacher, preschool teacher, mentor and administrator has given her the opportunity to support young children and their families in a variety of ways. She is experienced in relationship building, outreach and advocacy, and providing inclusive equitable education, removing barriers so all children are included, represented and valued in the least restrictive environment. Liz has a passion for providing individuals with disabilities the support, empowerment, resources and skills they need to to live successfully and independently in our community.
Her educational background includes a BA in Child Development and Dance Studies, with a minor in Psychology from Cal Poly Humboldt in 2009 and an MA in Education in 2021. She believes in being a lifelong learner and loves to continue to read, research, write and stay informed on new topics and relevant information pertaining to her career, current events, and interests. In her free time she enjoys spending time with her family and friends, traveling, swimming, dancing, reading, and walking her emotional support dog, Donnie.
